Our mission at Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry is to feed and serve the hungry. We strive to eliminate food insecurity in Hancock County. We treat all with respect so that they leave our pantry not just with groceries, but also with dignity and hope.
Located behind the Unitarian Universalist Church in Ellsworth, we are one of the largest food pantries in Hancock County. During 2020, we were honored to serve 3,521 households and 8,981 individuals. Your financial gift can help us continue our mission.

Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry has been serving Hancock County for more than 40 years, since 1978. We are supported by churches and other service-oriented organizations in and around Ellsworth, ME. We have provided countless thousands of individuals with food to help alleviate the effects of food insecurity.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported exclusively by volunteers. We receive income from individual donors, municipalities and fundraising efforts.
